Something Extra
WHAT IS RUSH?
Rush is a two week process which includes concerts, auditions, callbacks, rush meals, and the always anticipated "Tap Night." We know how stressful Rush can be, so we hope this page will help guide you!
RUSH FAQ'S
I've never had any vocal training and I've never sung seriously before. Can I still audition?
Absolutely! Though some of us had been taking voice lessons for several years, some of us had only sung in the shower before auditioning for Something Extra. We welcome all experience levels!
Oh no! I missed Marsh Jam! Can I still sign up?
Definitely! While we definitely recommend that you attend this concert, all is not lost. If you miss Marsh Jam, you can still sign up for an audition by sending an email to somethingextrarush@gmail.com.
Is it possible to be part of an a cappella group if I also want to participate in other extracurriculars?
Yes! In fact, all of our members participate in activities outside of a cappella. Something Extra participates in the Yale Dramatic Association, Kappa Alpha Theta, Club Squash, Yale Undergraduate Legal Aid Association, and more!
